"Horses
are like sponges," as many practitioners say. Muscles of
the horses back absorb a lot. They can have holding patterns of
pain and soreness here that can be stemming from head, neck and
shoulder issues as well. It is important to note that horses generally
do not take weight of horse and rider on its back but on the ribs
and muscles of barrel. The back sure takes a lot of abuse from
our sometimes bouncing bodies and saddles we strap on. Here I
am using my walking fingers with pressure to find areas of tension
then using deep direct pressure to alleviate this congestion.
